The 395 sq/ft off-grid dome suite is the recipe for relaxation and chill and offers a unique backcountry experience with just enough of the comforts to feel pampered, with enough wild to be inspired.

This experience is for one or two adults during the Winter months.

Sky Camp is for the cloud watchers and the star gazers. Views over the valley in front and nestled on the edge of a soaring old growth forest in your own meadow, you can watch as the sun sets over the fields and stare in wonder as the galaxy reveals itself overhead.

Fully off grid, the camp runs on solar, battery and wood fire.
A number of awesome gadgets help to bring comfort and civility to the off grid experience.

From a battery operated tap for running water from reservoirs under the sink, specialty battery packs for charging your devices and lighting throughout, solar fan, and the private composting toilet washroom pod, Sky Camp is a truly unique way to unplug and unwind.
The Drolet Bistro wood burning stove and oven heats the dome and keeps you cozy through the Winter nights. Toast up a pizza and melt into the peaceful escape.

We do suggest camping and fire tending experience for at least one of the guests to fully enjoy this backcountry lux Winter Experience.
The geodesic dome suite, oodles of decking and wood fired cedar sauna come together to create a place where you can truly relax and enjoy the beauty of the lands around.
Please note - the washroom pod is unheated in the winter.

In the Winter parking for most cars is by the barn with the camp an easy 3 - 5 minute walk up a cleared path. For 4x4 vehicles with winter tires, we do clear the lane up to the dome to park on the gravel pad.

Settle In and Get Cozy
Inside you will find a cozy yet expansive space flooded with natural light and warmed by the Drolet Bistro cookstove.
​
Curl up in the queen sized bed or stretch out for yoga in front of the giant bay window.
The table and counter can be set for dining, workspace, or play space.
The Washroom Pod
The private washroom pod at Sky Camp has been built as a passive building to keep it cool by design in the warmer months. The sink has flowing water thanks to the neato battery powered pump tap bringing water from the reservoirs below.
The SunMar composting toilet is easy to use and eliminates the need for fresh water in the process. Just steps away from the door of the dome and the sauna, the washroom pod is clean and pleasant.
Well stocked and at the ready
Cook up tasty treats in the wood fired oven and stay toasty through the night.
The kitchenette has the accoutrements you need and a large Yeti cooler is stocked with ice. Fresh drinking water is provided and there is non-potable water on tap at the sink for washing up.
Cook inside on the wood stove or BBQ up your favourites outside. Everything you need to make a great meal at camp are ready and waiting. Cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. A wash sink and and dish rack along with scrubbers and bio degradable dishwashing soap is all provided.
Your own private oasis
Outside you will find the private washroom pod with heater just a few steps from the dome door. The composting toilet is a big step up from your typical out house with a heater for the cold days and sink with running water in the warmer months.
There is a BBQ just off the expansive deck next to your wood storage area.
With open and covered sitting areas, solar lights for night vibes, and your own fire pit for roasting marshmallows, outside enjoyment is encouraged.

Bonus!
The wood fired cedar sauna is ready to melt away the day and is certainly an experience to enjoy.
With windows looking out over the field and up into the forest, the sauna is an awesome treat for your body & mind.
When you are not using it as a sauna, it makes for a lovely forest observation pod or book nook.
Get outside and do some glorious nothing!
Lay back and read a book on the sofa or look outwards to enjoy that big, beautiful sky.
The muskoka chairs can shift down beside your fire pit for making s'mores and watching shooting stars.
Stretch out and Be Inspired
Whether inside the dome in front of the bay window, out on the large deck, or anywhere out on the property you feel inspired - there is space to enjoy Yoga, Qi Gong, and other body and mind modalities.
Meditation and body work in nature is shown to be a beneficial practice in reducing stress and increasing resilience.
The Trails
Sky Camp is steps away from our 6km of private trails which wind around the property through a variety of views and landscapes.
Hike or bike and in the winter, cross country ski on our groomed trails.
Escape the crowds and enjoy the serenity of a forest almost all to yourself.
The Meadow
Sky Camp camp sits in a 7 acre meadow all to your self. The meadow is filled with wildflowers, grasses, and plenty of life.
Birders can delight in a wide variety of feathered guests. We have seen and heard bald eagles, piliated woodpeckers, cranes, herons, owls, and many song birds who fly by.
Stunning in all Seasons
Summer through Winter, Bubble Grove offers a beautiful escape into nature.
Sky Camp can expand to host larger families and group retreats with added tent accommodations.
