Do you offer overnight Getaways at Sky Camp?
We have in the past and hope to again.
Currently our zoning permissions allow us to offer events and experiences.
The overnight permissions we have do not currently extend to Sky Camp.
The property has 40 years of history hosting guests overnight so we hope to have an official decision supporting this continuing use and when we do we will once again be able to host you lovely guests in this beautiful bubble for immersive overnight experiences unlike anywhere else.

Sky Camp is for the cloud watchers and the star gazers. Views over the valley in front and nestled on the edge of a soaring old growth forest in your own meadow, you can watch as the sun sets over the fields and stare in wonder as the galaxy reveals itself overhead.

Fully off grid, Sky Camp runs on solar, battery and wood fire.
If you are a fan of Winter, you will love a snow covered getaway here. Arrive to a cozy dome and comfy queen bed. Stretch out and relax or get out and explore - the sauna is a welcome treat after a day adventuring on the trails or through the pages of a really good book.
A number of awesome gadgets have been built into the design of Sky Camp which help to bring comfort and civility to the off grid experience.

From a battery operated tap for running water from reservoirs under the sink, to specialty battery packs for charging your devices and lighting throughout the dome, solar fan, and the private composting toilet washroom pod, Sky Camp is a truly unique way to unplug and unwind.
The Drolet Bistro wood burning stove and oven heats the dome and keeps you cozy through the Winter nights. Toast up a local pizza or chef made meal and melt into the peaceful escape.
The geodesic dome suite, oodles of decking and wood fired cedar sauna come together to create a place where you can truly relax and enjoy the beauty of the lands around.
We do suggest camping and fire tending experience for at least one of the guests to fully enjoy this backcountry lux Winter Experience.

Our collaborations with On The Map Goods & Nakd Basics offer special packages and add-ons to level up your getaway. Order in chef made meals sourced locally and ready to heat, surprise your partner with a dome set for celebration, and lean into self care with a beautiful selection of hand crafted goods made locally from foraged and ethically sourced ingredients.
A laneway is plowed up to the camp. For 4x4 vehicles with winter tires it is accessible.In the Winter parking for most cars is by the barn with the camp an easy 3 - 5 minute walk up a cleared path.

Settle In and Get Cozy
Enter into the dome and inside you will find a cozy yet expansive space flooded with natural light and warmed by the Drolet Bistro cookstove.

Curl up in the queen sized bed or stretch out for yoga in front of the giant bay window.
The table and large kitchen island can be set for dining, workspace, or for play.
Your own private oasis

During the Winter you are our only guest on site.
​
With open and covered sitting areas, solar lights for night vibes and your own fire pit for roasting marshmallows, outside enjoyment is encouraged.

There is a BBQ just off the expansive deck for culinary intentions and a trail head up into the forest steps away

Well stocked and at the ready
Cook up tasty treats in the wood fired oven and stay toasty through the night with the Drolet wood stove.
The kitchen island has all the accoutrements you need to whip up something yummy.Cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. A dish rack, scrubber and bio degradable dishwashing soap is all provided.
Non-potable water on tap at the sink for washing up and we provide fresh drinking water.
Cook inside on the wood stove or BBQ up your favourites outside. Everything you need to make a great meal at camp is ready and waiting.

The dome is also outfitted with a fire alarm and fire extinguisher.
The Washroom Pod
The SunMar composting toilet is easy to use and eliminates the need for fresh water in the process. Just steps away from the door of the dome and the sauna, the washroom pod is clean and pleasant.
​The private washroom pod at Sky Camp is unheated in the Winter months and there is no shower between November and March.
Oh Joy!
The wood fired cedar sauna is ready to melt away the day and is certainly an experience to enjoy.
With windows looking out over the field and up into the forest, the sauna is an awesome treat for your body & mind.
When you are not using it as a sauna, it makes for a lovely forest observation pod or book nook.
The Trails
In the Winter months, travel a groomed trail through some of our beautiful vistas. Bring your snowshoes or cross country skis and get outside!
